I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. I graduated from Stanford University with an A.B. in Art, and Honors in Humanities. I also received an M.A. in Art from Stanford. In California I had paintings in juried shows in the Crocker Museum, Sacramento, Oakland Art Museum, Richmond Art Center Painting Annual 1969, and other places.

    I learned to woodblock print, Japanese style with watercolor ink in 1993. My prints have been exhibited in Moku Hanga Traveling Exhibition, Pacific Northwest 1997, Yosemite Renaissance , Yosemite National Park 1999 & 2015; Kyoto International Woodprint Exhibitions, a number of years, Japan. Biennial, 2008 and Albuquerque Now, 2009, Arts Thrive, 2017, 2019, Albuquerque Museum.
